Brief History of NTL

1964 : Established by Adamjee Group, named National Tubes.

1964 : Galvanizing plant (nominal diameter 1/2 to 4) went into operation.

1972 :  Nationalized and treated as an enterprise of BSEC

1980 :  Company name changed to National Tubes Limited.

1980 :  The second manufacturing mill (nominal diameter : ½” to 4) went into operation.

1982    :  The 3rd manufacturing mill (nominal diameter : 4 to 8) went into operation.

1989 : Transformed into a public limited company by offloading 49 percent shares to the general public

             and 51 percent shares are holding by the government.

1992 : Authorized to use API Monogram (License No.5L – 0025) for manufacturer of plain end line pipe PSL 1.

2001 : NTL was listed as one of the best ten companies in stock market evaluated by the DSE.

2002 : Authorized to use BSTI monogram on GI, MS (A class) pipes.

2004 : Obtained ISO 9001 certification for quality management system applies to the manufacturer  of line pipe.

2004 : Obtained API specification Q1 for quality management system applies to the manufacturer of Line Pipe.
